We are continuing to permit Catch & Release at Frensham to allow our visitors to carry on fishing when they’ve caught their bag.

By doing so, its imperative that good catch and release is practiced.

The golden rules are:

  • Barbless hooks must be used at all times
  • Minimise handling (to be avoided altogether, if at all possible)
  • Keep fish in the net in the water, whilst releasing the hook
