We were privileged that the City Flickers returned once again to Frensham last weekend.

With the recent rain and cooler temperatures, conditions were favourable and there was plenty of activity in the water. Competitions were arranged using a set selection of flies, and 6 prizes were awarded, with all participants saying they really enjoyed the day. The largest fish caught this year was a 6lb 7oz brown out of Heron Lake. As usual, the Hatch provided the perfect place to eat lunch and, for those who wanted to, to rest between sessions.

Lucy, the organiser for the day had the following kind words to say ‘………The setting is a perfect blend of larger lakes and smaller ponds, offering the chance to test your casting in a variety of conditions. The fish are always stunning, carefully maintained, and wonderfully plentiful………’
