It’s Fathers Day. Time to treat Dad!
What a great way to treat Dad this Fathers Day (Sunday 18th June) by offering him some quality fly fishing at Frensham. With the lakes fully stocked with fighting browns, rainbows, tigers and spartics, and mayflies still hatching, why not buy a personalised voucher, or coupon – see ‘Book Fishing’ page […]

It’s Mayfly time!
We always have a great Mayfly hatch at Frensham and this year is no exception. Our re-wilding efforts over the past 12 months or so have definitely helped with this. The fish are reacting favourably…….
Another Stocking! / Fish ticket options
We are very pleased to advise that another stocking has been completed earlier today. The delivery included a range of Browns, Rainbows, Tigers and Spartics (from 1.5lbs to 3lbs in weight). All 6 lakes/pools have been stocked so, on top of the existing numbers, there are plenty of fish to be […]
A fish fit for a King!
Entirely appropriately on this Coronation weekend, a fish fit for a King was caught and safely released earlier today by one of our regulars, Andy King. This 4lb plus brown was caught in Willow Pool with a size 16 olive klinkhammer. Very impressive!

Lots of fish are being caught!
Conditions are perfect right now at Frensham evidenced by the number of fish currently being caught. Come and try your luck (or should we say skill)…………
Pegs & Pontoons
It’s interesting to know that we have 37 usable pegs across our 6 lakes/pools at Frensham. This provides our visitors with a good variation of fly fishing options. Work has been done on some of those not so regularly used, so why don’t you try them next time you visit!
Aquatic Invertebrate Activity
After a wet March and cool temperatures up until now, Spring is defintely in the air. Conditions are looking very promising for the season ahead. Recent spot checks at the Fishery have revealed an abundance of insect life including damsel fly nymph, beetles and mayflies, amongst others.

A lovely 3lb Spartic Char (America Brook Trout x Arctic Char) caught on a diawl bach fly on Kingfisher Lake today.
